“Sisimpur” has shaped the mind of children across the nation and has recently completed it’s 19th year. Captivating the hearts of children with its colourful characters such as Tuktuki, Ikri Mikri, Halum, and Shiku.
The program’s purpose was not only to entertain children but provided early learning in literacy, math and lessons in areas like nutrition, gender equity, diversity, and emotional well-being. Which is available across Bangladesh, to help and support children and make them thrive.
The production of the show began in 2003 and the first episode was aired in April 2005. And Since 2015 the series has broadcast a holiday episode during Eid. The fourteenth season of the show focused on empathy and during its fifteenth season a new character Julia was introduced. Julia is depicted to have autism and some segments with sign language were added. This was done to destigmatise autism and make autistic children feel seen on a visual media and raise awareness.
