“Shudhu Bhalobashai Shob Noy”, the musical collaboration between Zulfiqer Russell, Tunai Debasish Ganguly and Iman Chakraborty was released June 26 on the ZiTi Music YouTube channel.
Responsible for the composition of the song Kolkata's Tunai Debasish said of their song, “Iman is like my younger sister and Russell is one of my best friends. I'm quite pleased with the melody of this song. The love that Iman sang the song with is evident. I have nothing new to add to Russell's lyrical praise. I hope listeners of both Bengals enjoy the song.”
Tunai Debasish Ganguly has been weaving a thread of melody into the lyrics of Zulfiqer Russell for a time now. The duo's last collaboration was “Shey Ekta Gaachh” with famed singer Nachiketa Chakraborty. While he has also composed several songs for Iman Chakraborty, “Shudhu Bhalobashai Shob Noy” is the first track of the trio. In Ganguly's words, “That's why this song is special to us.'
Meanwhile, in reference to the song, National Film Award-winning lyricist Zulfiqer Russell said, “My list of works with Tunai is never ending. It still continues. Yes, this is my first work with Iman Chakraborty. Needless to say, she has sung wonderfully. The rest is up to our audience.”
