Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action thriller “King” is reportedly set to unveil its teaser on November 2, the actor’s birthday, ahead of its theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the teaser is being planned as a birthday gift for Khan’s fans and will mark the launch of the film’s global marketing campaign. The teaser is expected to feature Khan in an action-oriented role with new dialogue and sequences. The makers have yet to officially confirm the reported teaser date.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, “King” marks his second collaboration with Khan after “Pathaan,” which was released in 2023 and became a box-office success.
A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama said the film would build on the scale of the director’s previous collaborations with the actor.
“If audiences loved the scale of ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, Sid has taken things a notch higher with ‘King’,” the source said, adding that the film’s action, thrills and music would be key attractions.
The film also features Suhana Khan, who will make her big-screen debut alongside her father. Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor and Raghav Juyal are also reported to have key roles.
Kareena Kapoor is reportedly set to make a special appearance in the film. According to Bollywood Hungama, she will share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in a song titled “Daddy Cool,” which was reportedly scheduled to be filmed in South Africa in October.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix, “King” is scheduled to release in theaters on December 24, 2026.
