Apu Biswas and Shabnam Bubly will participate together on the BTV eid special “Ananda Mela”.
Apu and Bubly, despite personal feuds, are coming together to participate in the program with this year's theme being “Pleasure not in pain, but in sacrifice.” Produced by Md Mahfuzar Rahman, Md Lutfar Rahman and Yasmin Akter, Ananda Mela will air on Eid after the 10 PM English news.
Divided into separate segments, the program will feature dance, song, interactive section and theatre. Ferdous and Apu Biswas will be presenting the show. Bubly is set to dance in two songs “Amar Naam Miss Bubly” and “Megher Nouka Tumi” alongside Mahfuz Ahmed.
In honour of the late legendary actor Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooque, actors Ador Azad and Dighi will dance to three songs from his films. The songs are “Sobh Sokhire Par Korite”, “Tumi Amar Moner Majhi” and “Tumi Dub Diyo Na Jole Konna”.
A modern musical dance performance will be performed by Warda Rihab and team. Folk music artist Islam Uddin Palakar is also set to participate in Ananda Mela. The band Warfaze will sing their new song titled “Roktim Akash Stobdho Eikhane”. Apart from this, Sabbir, Milan Mahmud, Liza and Nishita Barua will sing the original song titled “Ei Poth Chola Dur Bohudur”.
Shatabdi Wadud, Sushma Sarkar, Mahmuduzzaman Mithu, Anand Khaled, Sujat Shimul, among others are participating in 3 plays.
A special documentary on Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed's contribution in establishing the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro (BSK) will also be aired.
