Popular actor Apu Biswas spoke out about the current rape culture in Bangladesh on social media. The recent rape case of a DU student has shaken up the country again. Similar to netizens and human rights activists, the superstar also couldn't resist herself from joining the force of protestors.
On her official Facebook page, the actor demanded the capital punishment for any rapist. In her status, the film star wrote: "This is really sad that a DU student got raped on her way to a friend's place. It has to stop. The rapists should receive such stringent punishment that nobody dares to commit such a horrific crime again. Such people should be scared. The rapists should be hanged in a public place. Why is there no end to such to such acts in spite of such massive protest? A mother, a sister, a daughter has been a victim of rape - what can be more shameful than this?"
