Taha Ismail's “Rise” have won gold prize at the 1.4 Awards in London for best planet positive film.

1.4 is a self-funded project which has been featuring the very best directing talent in short form filmmaking since January, 2012.

Premiered by Kaltblut Magazine, in Taha's “Rise”, multiple strangers come together to experience what it means to be human.

Set under the white cliffs of Dover in Kent, UK, the film comes at a time when the world is in crisis – war, refugees, racism, mass conflict and suffering, and so on.

The film is about “human connection”, and the theme is about “coming together”. It features a diverse cast of performers supported by the famous Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Declaration speech.

Taha is a London Film School & Ravensbourne alumnus, whose work explores storytelling from a deeply personal space, blending reality and fiction.

His projects have been featured on US television, BAFTA qualifying festival Aesthetica, Alaska Airlines IFE, Austin Music Video Festival, and acclaimed platforms such as BBC, Omeleto, BOOOOOOOM, MYM & 1.4.

He recently launched http://unconscious.world - a production collective and creative platform working across film, music and fashion.

Filmed in Los Angeles, “Forever” premiered on BBC Radio on the Nadia Ali show, and was selected as the song of the week. Popular music blog “SleepingOnGems” and multiple Spotify editorial playlists have already featured the music video.

Lil Late's EP “Motion Sickness” will be soon out this year. “Forever” is currently available on YouTube.
