The new AMA awards pushed Swift’s lifetime to 40 and broke her own record for most wins at the world’s largest fan-voted awards show.

Superstar singer-songwriter Taylor Swift won all six trophies she competed for at Sunday's American Music Awards, including the evening's top prize: Female Artist of the Year.

The new AMA awards pushed Swift's lifetime to 40 and broke her own record for most wins at the world's largest fan-voted awards show.

The “Anti-Hero” singer, who wears a sparkling gold jumpsuit, said fan support over the past few years has encouraged her to write more music, which makes her happier.

“A lot of my happiness comes from the fans,” Swift told a cheering crowd at the ceremony in Los Angeles.

“I can't express how incredible it is for me that I'm still doing this and that you still care,” she added.

The 32-year-old has released four original albums and two new recordings in the last three years, more than her total output in the previous decade. Songs from her latest album “Midnights” occupied all the top 10 spots on the Billboard singles chart after their debut in October.

In her numerous acceptance speeches on Sunday, Swift failed to mention the glitches that disrupted Ticketmaster's sales for her upcoming tour last week, prompting the company to apologize to her late Friday.

Other tributes to Swift on Sunday included her favorite pop album, country album and video for her re-recording of 2012's album Red. The singer has re-released albums from her past over a dispute with her former record label.

As Artist of the Year, Swift triumphed over impressive names like Beyonce, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Drake, Adele and Bad Bunny, who had entered the night with eight leading nominations. The Puerto Rican rapper and singer received two awards, for Favorite Latin Male Artist and Favorite Latin Album for “Un Verano Sin Ti.”

Pop singer Pink opened the AMAs show by dancing and singing on roller skates to her upbeat song “Never Gonna Not Dance Again.” Later in the ceremony, she performed “Hopeless Devoted to You” in tribute to Olivia Newton-John, the “Grease” singer who died in August.

Musician Lionel Richie, best known for “All Night Long” and other 1980s hits, was celebrated with the AMA's Icon Award. Stevie Wonder and Charlie Puth performed a medley of Richie songs on dueling pianos.

Dove Cameron, a former Disney Channel actress who hit Billboard this year with pop single “Boyfriend,” won Best New Artist.

Comedian and host Wayne Brady rapped in his monologue at the beginning of the show. “No one gets slapped tonight,” Brady joked, referring to Will Smith's infamous attack on Chris Rock at the Oscars.
