Dhaka Tribune’s Showtime Editor Sadia Khalid Reeti is set to vote at the 80th Golden Globes.
She is the second Bangladeshi film critic to vote for the Golden Globes, the 80th edition of which is scheduled to be held on January 10, 2023.
Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has added 103 new voters to the group which will oversee the Golden Globe Awards next year.
This is the first time HFPA is welcoming voters from around the globe.
Previously, Sadia Khalid Reeti joined Berlinale Talents in 2020 as a film critic along with seven other participants from around the world.
She was the first film critic from Bangladesh to be selected for this highly prestigious program that has been running since 2003.
She was selected from a pool of 3,400 applicants from 134 countries.

Berlinale Talents is the annual summit and networking platform of the Berlin International Film Festival, which is one of the "big three" film festivals (Cannes, Berlin and Venice).
Sadia also attended the 2019 Cannes Film Festival as a jury member for the International Federation of Film Critics (Fipresci).
She was the first Bangladeshi woman to have earned this honour.
Reeti was also a Fipresci jury for the International Film Festival of Kerala 2019 and Dhaka International Film Festival 2018 and 2021.
She served on the jury boards of several other international festivals, namely, Italy’s Religion Today Film Festival, India’s Siliguri International Short and Documentary Film Festival, Nepal’s Human Rights Festival, Russia's Kazan Film Festival, England's Rainbow Film Festival and so on.
She studied Screenwriting at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and worked in several production companies in Hollywood.
