The country’s popular children's puppet show "Sisimpur" has won the 14th International Kidscreen Awards for "Best Mixed Media Series."
The show’s verified Facebook page shared the announcement on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier in 2010, "Sisimpur" was also named the best child-friendly program in a BBC World Service Trust survey, and it was nominated for third best popular program overall, reports media.
Each year, the Kidscreen Awards receive close to 500 entries from around the world in 52 categories spanning programming, broadcasting, and digital media.
The winners are announced at an awards ceremony held during Kidscreen Summit, the year's largest gathering of the global kids entertainment industry.
