Journalist and singer-songwriter Sadi Shahnewaz, also known as the vocalist of Old Dhaka Diaries, is going to release his upcoming single “Shesh Bidaye” on October 21. The song will be available on all international music streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

The indie-acoustic song has been written and composed by Sadi, while Syed Ahnaf Sadeed played the guitar for the song.

Sadi is a self-taught musician and a journalist, working as the vocalist and guitar player in indie band Old Dhaka Diaries. Among his songs, “Prohor”, “Baaka Chaad”, and a rendition of Rabindra Sangeet “Ekla Cholo Re” has gained appreciation among band music enthusiasts.

“I’d never thought of a solo career, but after I released my song ‘Hoyto Aaj Ami Ar Nei’ from various streaming platforms, it opened my eyes about the control that a solo artist can have over their own music, at this day and age”, said the musician.

According to Sadi, “Shesh Bidaye” is a song that reflects on goodbyes, but in a more bittersweet way. “Behind all goodbyes is a faint hope that someday, you might reconnect to whoever/whatever that you long for,” says the singer.
