Michael Keaton is set to reprise his Batman role in HBO Max's upcoming movie "Batgirl," directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
In an interview with Insider, the duo said, “Can we say anything? F-- yes. The O.G. Batman is in the movie.”
Keaton will also return as the caped crusader to crime-ridden Gotham City in "The Flash."
He was the first actor to play Bruce Wayne in the 1989 Tim Burton film "Batman." His Oscar nominated performance in "Bird Man" as a washed-up actor also made frequent references to his iconic superhero role. Keaton reprised the role in the 1992 sequel, “Batman Returns.”
Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon, daughter of Commissioner Jim Gordon, starring JK Simmons, will play the titular role. Brendan Fraser has also joined the cast as Firefly.
El Arbi And Fallah have completed filming "Batgirl," but remained tight-lipped about the release date.
