Bollywood’s power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14, 2022, in the presence of close friends and family members.
During the “Juta Chupai” ritual, where the bridesmaids hide the shoes of the groom and demand money in return, Alia Bhatt’s bridesmaid asked for a whopping sum of 11.5 crores.
Both parties ultimately settled for 1 lakh. In a new photo from the wedding, Ranbir was seen posing with the bridesmaids and holding a card that read, “I, Ranbir, husband of Alia pledge to give all the bridesmaids…”
Although the wedding was a low-key intimate ceremony, all the arrangements were lavishly executed. Alia and Ranbir also received expensive, eye-catching gifts from their wedding guests and film industry friends.
One of the bridesmaids, Tanya posted on Instagram, "It's sappy days like these that I LIVE FOR. lots of happy tears and belly aching laughs, celebrating my sweet sweet @aliaabhatt ‘s love story. Our inseparable family just grew a little sillier and a little bigger."
The five-day lavish wedding festivities began on April 13 and concluded on April 17.
Alia and Ranbir made their relationship public when they attended Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding together in 2018.
