Partha Sanjay’s ‘Cannes Diary’ launched at Amar Ekushey Book Fair

The book delves into journalist Sanjay's experience of covering the 2021 critically acclaimed film 'Rehana Maryam Noor,' which was selected at Cannes as the first Bangladeshi film in the Un Certain Regard section

Writer and journalist Partha Sanjay’s new book “Cannes Diary: Oh Bangladesh!” was launched on February 22 at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.

The event was attended by Director of Alliance Française de Dhaka François Grosjean, filmmaker Samia Zaman, Member Secretary of Ekushe Book Fair Committee and Director of Bangla Academy Jalal Ahmed and editor Partha Tanveer Naved.




Published by Nymphea, the book details the unique experience of journalist Partha Sanjay who visited the renowned Cannes festival four times. It delves into his experience of covering the 2021 critically acclaimed film “Rehana Maryam Noor,” which was selected at the Un Certain Regard section last year as the first Bangladeshi film. 

The book cover has been designed by Sabyasachi Hazra. It is currently in stock at stall no 309-310 near the children's book corner.

This year’s Amar Ekushey Book Fair has been extended till March 17 due to the improved Covid-19 situation in the country.
