Actors Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty starred in key roles as Raju, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatao Apte, also known as Babu Bhaiya -- forever etching their hilarious performances in our minds and earning 'Hera Pheri' a cult following.
On the occasion of Hera Pheri turning 21, Suniel Shetty took to Twitter and wrote, "No wonder we underestimate how quickly time flies. It seems I blinked, and 21 years went by. What a film we made," he wrote.
The actor also paid tribute to cast member Om Puri who passed away in 2017.

Akshay Kumar wrote in response to Suniel's tweet, "Agreed! Even we didn’t know back then what a film we were making, each scene better than the other. Genius of Priyan sir and epic dialogues by late Neeraj Vora."
A remake of Malayam film 'Ramji Rao Soeaking', Hera Pheri also starred Tabu and Om Puri in supporting roles.
A sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, was released in 2006 and the third installment is currently in development with Akshay Kumar, Shuniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal set to reprise their roles.
