The country recently witnessed the loss of two legendary music personalities – musicologist and literateur Karunamaya Goswami, and the Nazrul Sangeet musician Sudhin Das. With the departure of these influential personalities, the cultural sphere of the country might face a huge vacuum.
To commemorate the life and works of Goswami and Das, both of whom were recipients of the Ekushey Padak, Bengal Foundation has organised a program on Tuesday, July 11 at the Chhayanaut Auditorium in the capital.
Language movement veteran, Kamal Lohani, Kali O Kalam editor Abul Hasnat and Sayonton Goswami will recall and discuss the life and works of Goswami and Das in their speeches at the program.
Followed by the discussion, several artistes including Khairul Anam Shakil, Laisa Ahmed Lisa, Nasima Shaheen, Iqbal Sumon, Mofizur Rahman and Suparna Hasan Mitu will be performing in the program.
