The Bengal Classical Music Festival has been cancelled once again as the organizers didn't get permission to use the Army Stadium in Dhaka as the venue.
The Bengal Foundation made the announcement on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
The post read: “We regret to inform you that Bengal Foundation will not be hosting Bengal Classical Music Festival 2019 due to unavoidable circumstances.”
"We sincerely apologise to our audience and artists who have shown the event such love and enthusiasm through years."
The Foundation has been organizing the festival at the Army Stadium since 2012.However, following uncertainties in 2017, the classical music festival was held at the Abahani Ground in Dhanmondi.
Last year, the festival was cancelled due to security reasons ahead of the general election.
This year, it will not be possible to use the Abahani Ground in Dhanmondi to organize the festival as the venue is undergoing renovation.
