It was back in 2006 when local music listeners discovered Poran through a popular reality show. The singer, however, was absent from the scene afterwards despite being active on TV, radio and stage.
After a hiatus of almost a decade and much to the delight of music aficionados, Poran is all set to release his first solo album ever. Titled Roder chele, the album is the product of three years of hard work, accompanied by his friend from the competition and singer Kishor Das.
“I’ve tried to create tracks according to my likings. This could be my first and last album at the same time and I won’t have any regrets about that. I take comfort from the fact that I’ve done something I really wanted to do for a long time,” said Poran about his album’s release.
With lyrics from Rabiul Islam Jibon, Shomeshwar Ali, Atanu Tias, Arafat Setu and Toiob Uddin, the album consists of six tracks - “Amake bhalobashi tai,” “Chokh bheja jol,” “Roder chele,” “Durer janalay,” “Ek anjla jol” and “Bhoirab line er gari.” Kishor Das has tuned and composed all of the tracks.
Roder chele will also be released on GP Music and on YouTube under the banner of Aajob Records this Eid.
