Janhvi Kapoor’s brand new film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, is performing well on Netflix since its premiere on August 12. The actor shared multiple posts on Instagram citing what an honour it had been to play the Air Force officer.
On August 15, India’s Independence Day, she shared three posts about the film and how it was an honour to play the fearless young officer who made history by becoming the first Indian female Air Force officer to fly in a combat zone during the 1999 Kargil War.
One of her posts read: “It'll always be an honour to wear this uniform and to be a part of something so special and close to my heart.”
She also shared several BTS photos and videos of the Karan Johar production, captioned: “The best memories. A journey I will always be eternally grateful for; for the people I met along the way, and for everything I felt and learnt.”

Janhvi is the daughter of legendary actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. Her first film, Dhadak, was also produced by Karan Johar, who incidentally happens to be the producer of her upcoming films, Dostana 2 and Takht.
