YouTube releases are going from strength to strength. Bangladeshi music videos, in particular, now have another platform via YouTube, through which fans can access them, free of charge.
Web series are also gaining popularity in India. Considering the new trend, CMV is planning to bring a new web series just for online subscribers. “This will be the first cricket centric web series of Bangladesh,” informs S K Shahed Ali, owner of CMV.
On the occasion of Eid, a new web series, “Ami Cricketer Hote Chai”, with a total of seven episodes, will be released under the CMV banner. The maker of the series is Mabrur Rashid Bannah, with Afran Nisho and Eshika Khan as the acting leads. There is also a surprise catch in this series – Mehrab Hossain Api, former cricketer of Bangladesh National Team.
Maker Bannah enthusiastically highlights that this is the first ever cricket centric series of Bangladesh. “So it’s been a new challenge for me. We tried to pull off the content with the audience of web series in mind,” he said.
Actress Eshika says, “It’s a story about a girl who’s a big fan of cricket, who is mad about cricketers. Then a boy comes to impress her and tries to do everything he can to become cricketer himself.”
This is to be the first appearance by Api in a web series. “I am excited. This is the first time I am appearing in any web based work. I think this series will be quite popular. Let’s see,” he informs.
The first episode will be released through the web channel of CMV on Eid day at 7pm. Viewers can also watch the series through Flix App.
