A man has claimed on Twitter that he got ‘married’ to Priyanka Chopra Jonas in 2014.
The man named Brandon Schuster wrote: "I got 'married' to Priyanka Chopra in 2014. I put two flower leis on her to welcome her to a 'green carpet' event in Tampa. Little did I know that symbolized 'marriage' in Indian culture. The Indian press had a field day with it and I was giving exclusive interviews the next day," reports City Times.
Schuster was responding to a tweet by John Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen, asking people about their experiences with finding temporary fame.
His claim drew numerous responses from Chopra’s fans.
"Nick is shaking," responded one fan.
"Exchange of garlands to be done with intention of getting married....in Indian culture mere dropping of garland for welcoming on arrival is not marriage," said another.
Schuster, however, expressed amazement at the fact that his tweet went viral, saying: "Oh my god! What is happening?!?!? @priyankachopra, hi again I seriously did not think this tweet would blow up as big as it did. I hope you and @nickjonas are doing well!"
