Vocalist of Cactus, an Indian-Bangla rock band, Sidhu and popular Tollywood playback singer Somlata have lent their voices for two songs in the much-anticipated Bangladeshi film titled Unoponchas Batash.
Composed by Masud Hasan Ujjal, the director of the film, Somlata's Jekhane and Sidhu's Chibuk - the two songs from the upcoming film - were released by Anupam Recordings.
Besides directing, Ujjal also wrote the screenplay and was in charge of the art direction, photography, music direction, and even the poster design of his debut film.
While talking to the press about the songs, he said: "Sidhu and Somlata are my favourite artists. I am delighted that they have become a part of my debut film."
In response to questions regarding the plot of his film, Ujjal said: "All of us have experienced, at one point or another, a set of feelings that we cannot put a finger on. It becomes nearly impossible to give them a shape through symbols or the simplest of words. Unoponchas Batash is my attempt to bring these feelings into sharp focus on big screens.
"This story is about the kind of love that can turn noise into silence."
The 2 hour 45 minute long film stars Sharlin Farzana and Imtiaz Barshan in the leading roles.
The film has been made under the banner of Red October Films, and was produced by Asif Hanif.
The film is set to be released on March 13.
