The music video of Golapi, latest single of Farooque Bhai Project was released on the official Facebook page and YouTube channel of Daekho TV on Thursday. The newly released music video was directed by Nuhash Humayun.

The 2-minute-46-second video evokes nostalgia for a generation that grew up during the 90s.

With references to Windows 98, old video games, classic flip phones and so many other hidden details, Golapi depicts how life used to bein the 90s for the new generation.

Speaking to Dhaka Tribune Showtime about the music video, Nuhash said: “I really liked the song since it has a very funky vibe, and we shot the entire music video on green screen.

“I got to know Farooque Bhai while Iti, Tomari Dhaka, and we were planning to make a music video on sets of the film.

"As Farooque Bhai didn't have any budget to make the music video, we decided to make it on green screen which was a great challenge for me.

"The entire music video was shot in a day and it was a fun experience for me,” Nuhash said.

Farooque Bhai Project is a funk-pop act. It is the brain child of indie artiste Issa Farooque, who is based in Toronto, Canada.

His debut album, Obostha Bujhe Bebostha, was released in 2018.

The entertaining content platform Daekho kicked off in March last year. Daekho has two branches, Daekho TV and Daekhopedia.

Daekho TV features comedy sketches, film and television parodies, and music videos.
