Robert De Niro sued for gender discrimination and sexual harassment

This new lawsuit surfaces weeks after De Niro himself accused Robinson for misusing funds, and binging on Netflix while at work

A former assistant of Robert De Niro, Graham Chase Robinson, has sued the actor for $12 million, accusing him of "years of gender discrimination, and harassment."

According to a BBC report, Robinson claims that De Niro was verbally abusive towards her, and inflicted upon her unwanted physical contact, and sexually-charged comments.

De Niro's lawyer told US media: "The allegations made by Graham Chase Robinson against Robert De Niro are beyond absurd."

This new lawsuit surfaces weeks after De Niro himself accused Robinson for misusing funds, and binging on Netflix while at work.

Robinson's legal documents were published in US media on Thursday, and they claimed that, apparently De Niro had "concocted false allegations" to prevent her from taking action and to destroy her career, and reputation.

Robinson began working as De Niro's executive assistant in 2008, although the actor himself was heard referring to her as just an "assistant" in spite of her two subsequent promotions.

Robinson claims that De Niro used to converse with her in a "hostile, abusive, and intimidating" way, including making "vulgar, inappropriate, and gendered comments."

Her case states that: "He would joke with Ms Robinson about his Viagra prescription. De Niro smirked to Ms Robinson about his young paramour, who was around Ms Robinson’s age.

"De Niro asked Ms Robinson to imagine him on the toilet. He told Ms Robinson that doing manual labour would 'make a man out of you.' De Niro suggested that Ms Robinson could get pregnant using sperm from her (married) male co-worker."

Robinson also said that De Niro paid her less than a man, and asked her to do "stereotypically female" activities, like putting away his underwear, hanging up his clothes, and vacuuming his apartment.

She also informs that the "gratuitous physical contact" involved him asking her to "scratch his back, button his shirt, fix his collars, tie his ties, and prod him awake when he was in bed."
