Owners of event management firm Antar Showbiz under the banner of Exposer is all set to organize “Mr World Bangladesh” for the first time ever.
Previously, Antar Showbiz has organized “Miss World Bangladesh,” a leading beauty pageant representing the country on global platforms.
“Mr World Bangladesh” registration has started for men between the ages of 18 and 27, said the organizers.
Mr Bangladesh will represent the country at the Mister World 2019 competition to be held in Manila in August this year.
“Women from Bangladesh have earned accolades in the ‘Miss World’ competitions. Now we want to organize ‘Mister World Bangladesh’ for our men,” Antar Showbiz Chairman Shapan Chowdhury said on Monday, at a press briefing.
This year, 100 contestants will seek the “Mr World” crown at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, one of Asia’s largest indoor arenas in Manila.
The grand finale of the competition will be held on August 23.
The competition will begin with an Olympic style opening ceremony where contestants across the globe will compete in the three-week event to be ‘the world’s most desirable man.’
The competition is biennial and was founded in 1996, according to Wikipedia. The participants compete in various activities including waterskiing, mountain biking, and marathon running.
In 2016, Rohit Khandelwa from India was crowned Mr World, and became the first Asian to have won the title.
