From on-screen superhero to a real life one

Update : 02 Apr 2017, 08:25 PM
Hugh Jackman, aka the ‘Wolverine’ has been seen saving people’s lives on-screen for years now. However, the actor recently showcased his superhero traits in real life. The person is none other than the High School Musical actor Zac Efron. Jackman saved Zac from a burning set that was getting out of control. The incident took place during the filming of their upcoming feature together, The Greatest Showman. Zac Efron revealed the news in an interview with MTV News. “It started to get late, and some of the pyrotechnics got a bit too hot,” said Efron. “We burst out of the building. It looked great on camera. We didn’t know it [during the stunt], but it was pretty intense. I watched the playback, and he saved me from a burning building. It later exploded that night. It was a set, but it burned down,” said the 29 year old actor. Efron added, “Hugh Jackman saving you from a burning building? It’s every girl’s dream.” A year ago, the Australian actor helped rescue swimmers from a dangerous rip ride at Sydney’s Bondi beach. Being the Wolverine of the X-Men, Jackman has had his fair share of on-screen heroism, but as it seems, he is a real life hero too. Jackman’s ongoing work The Greatest Showman features Rebecca Ferguson and Zac Efron along with him in the title role. The film depicts the life of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus founder P T Barnum. The Greatest Showman will be released on Christmas Day.
