Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar 3, starring Amitabh Bachchan, seems to be in trouble due to the authenticity of the script and credits. The Bombay High Court has directed Ram Gopal Varma to hold a private screening of Sarkar 3 for Nilesh Girkar, the scriptwriter of the movie, before March 20.
On March 17, Justice Patel asked Varma’s lawyers to hold a screening of the film for Girkar and his lawyers before Monday, as this will help Girkar determine if his script has indeed been used in the film. The court has advised Girkar and his counsels not to carry any recording devices with them during the screening. The court also directed Varma to deposit a copy of the original script of his film to the court and give a copy to Girkar.
Previously, Sarkar 3 made headlines for excluding Abhishek Bachchan this time even though the Sarkar franchise is synonymous with the Bachchan family. The third edition of the franchise, however, will not see Bachchan junior share screen space with his father.
“It’s unfortunate that I couldn’t be part of Sarkar 3. My character was killed in Sarkar 2. This was one of my favourite films and also one of my favourite characters to play. I’d love to be part of the continuing saga in some way or the other.”- said Junior Bachchan.
There is a new addition which can prove to be the trump card for the movie.
In this film, Amit Sadh, popular TV star will be seen playing the role of Shivaji Nagre. The film is the third installment in the Sarkar franchise and is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The political crime thriller also features megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Manoj Bajpayee and Yami Gautam. Amit Sadh has also acted in Sultan co-starring Salman Khan.
