A three-day festival for Lalon Shah and a gathering of his devotees have started in Tangail.
The festival began at the Kalihati upazila’s Khilda High School field on Friday.
Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Kalihati circle) Masudur Rahman Monir inaugurated the program.
The Central Shadhu Shangha Library President Biplab Sarker presided over the inauguration program of the festival.
On the first day and second day of the festival, there were discussions about Lalon Shah and Shangskritik Jote members led by Shah Alam performed songs.
On Sunday, the last day of the program, Sumir Baul will perform Lalan songs at the fair.
Officer Incharge (OC) of Khalitai police station and the Shadhu Shangha Chief Adviser Nazrul Islam; Bangra Union Parishad former chairman Riazuddin Ahmed, were present as special guests at the ceremony.
