Brad Pitt’s new war flick

In a new teaser for Netflix’s War Machine, Brad Pitt appeared as a sassy, silver fox during the War in Afghanistan who brushes off naysayers. The absurdest war story depicts a US General’s roller-coaster rise and fall as part reality, part savage parody. Brad Pitt plays the successful, charismatic four-star general who leapt in like a rock star to command NATO forces in Afghanistan, only to be taken down by a journalist’s no-holds-barred exposé. The film also casts Tilda Swinton, Sir Ben Kingsley, Emory Cohen, Topher Grace, Anthony Michael Hall, Will Poulter, Lakeith Stanfield, and Meg Tilly. Produced by Netflix and Pitt’s production company – Plan B Entertainment, the film is inspired by the best-selling book The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan by late American journalist Michael Hastings. War Machine will hit Netflix on May 26.
