‘2.0’ is set to become the costliest movie of Indian cinema

This mega release has been making news ever since it was announced

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer “2.0” has reportedly crossed the benchmark of a whopping amount of Rs 550 crores in order to become the costliest movie ever made in Bollywood. 

This massive budget is largely used to enhance the VFX of the film making it India’s first $75 million VFX wonder.

The film marks the Tamil movie debut of Akshay Kumar. The actor, who is playing the role of anti-hero against the superstar Rajinikanth in “2.0,” shared a poster on Instagram which read: “‘2.0’ is an effort unlimited of more than 3,000 technicians around the world.”

This mega release has been making news ever since it was announced. The film also turned heads when it was labeled as the first Indian film to be shot entirely on 3D camera. 

However, after a long delay, the first teaser of “2.0” is due to be released on September 13. The film will be released in Tamil and Hindi, along with additional dubbed releases in 13 other languages.
