Doob in Indian media

Update : 23 Feb 2017, 09:44 PM
The allegation was placed by Meher Afroz Shaon, Humayun Ahmed’s wife, against the movie, saying that the content can be harmful for the writer’s image. Farooki has repeatedly said that this film is not based on the legendary writer of Bangladesh. But a renowned journalist of Kolkata said that the director told him about the movie, and it is related to the writer’s life. While Doob was sinking in uncertain momentum due to all these controversies and allegations, director Farooki posted the first look of the movie on social media. In the artistic poster, his face can be seen superimposed on the image of a green hill, with a pathway in between. Irrfan Khan also posted the first look of the movie on Twitter saying, “Here’s the poster of Doob. @EskayMovies #MostofaSarwarFarooki.” After this, the Hindustan Times and Bollywood Life reported “Irrfan Khan releases an intriguing first look poster of his BANNED Bangladeshi film.” “Doob was unknown until it hit headlines, when it got banned in Bangladesh,” they wrote. Irrfan Khan plays the lead role in Doob: No Bed of Roses.  Apart from acting in the film, he is also co-producing it. Besides Irrfan, Doob also features Parno Mitra from Kolkata, Nusrat Imroz Tisha, and Rokeya Prachi from Dhaka. The movie is an Indo-Bangla venture where Jaaz Multimedia represents Dhaka, and Eskay Movies represents Kolkata.
