FX has announced the cast for “Y: The Last Man” to make a pilot adaptation of the critically acclaimed graphic novel by Brian K Vaughan. The cable network planned to adapt the top ranked novel two months ago.
Considered one of the most critically acclaimed comic book series of all time, the DC Comics/Vertigo graphic novel was first published in 2002. The story follows Yorick Brown — the last surviving human with a Y chromosome — and his Capuchin monkey, Ampersand.
The graphic novel is written and created by Vaughan and artist Pia Guerra, and it ran for 60 issues and has been collected in multiple graphic novels.
"Dunkirk" star Barry Keoghan will play the role of Yorick Brown, the last human surviving a plague which wipes out all other men. Diane Lane will play Yorick's mother, Senator Jennifer Brown, a first-term lawmaker, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
