Greek singers sing on International Mother Language Day

A video-song dedicated to the International Mother Language Day was launched on February 16, 2018 at the Music School of Ilion. The lyrics of the song, titled “It’s Mother Language Day”, are written by the Bangladeshi author and poet Sujan Debnath who currently serves as First Secretary & HOC at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Athens. The music is composed by the Greek musician Stavros Papastavrou, who also plays guitar and sings together with the Bangladeshi singer Nibedita Nath. The music video has been made in Ilion Music School, the largest music school in the Balkan region of Greece and it was recorded in Athen's NVM Studio. Students from the music school and members of the Bangladeshi community in Greece, as well as from other countries including Australia, China, Brazil, Ethiopia, USA, Spain, Estonia, Netherlands and Bangladesh have taken part in the video.
