Bappa Mazumder, Konal voice title number of 'Jannat'

Famous singers Bappa Mazumder and Somnur Monir Konal have teamed up again and this time the musician duo collaborated to voice up the title number for director Mustafizur Rahman Manik's upcoming film “Jannat.” In the film, the romantic song will be lip-synced by the lead actors of the film, Mahiya Mahi and Saimon Sadik. The song was successfully recorded on February 2, informed Konal. “Even though it's a playback number, it is comprised of both Sufi and Kawali tunes. I've never sung a song of this sort. There's a different feel about it,” she added. Emon Saha composed the song with the lyrics of Sudip Kumar Dip. The duo, Bappa and Konal, collaborated in a playback number for the first time in Nayak Raj Razzak's film “Ayna Kahini.” Interestingly, cricketer turned pop singer Arfin Rumey voiced another track for the film. Titled “Papi Tapi Mon,” the singer composed the song with lyrics from Sudip Kumar Dip. Rumey will be seen performing his own track in the film. The shooting of “Jannat” has started since Ramadan but was hindered due to rain. Aside from Mahi and Saimon, “Jannat” will also feature Aliraz, Misha Shawdagar, Shimul Khan in different roles. Produced by SS Multimedia, Sudipto Saeed Khan penned the story, while Asad Zaman wrote the screenplay of the film.
