1st Asian Film Critics Assembly begins on Sunday

The first Asian Film Critics Assembly (AFCA) will begin on Sunday in Dhaka. The two-day event has been organized by Rainbow Film Society in association with Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique (FIPRESCI) and the International Film Critics Association of Bangladesh (IFCAB), as part of the 16th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) that began on Friday. Some 12 film critics will attend the assembly to be held at Hotel La Vinci in the Farmgate area, reports UNB. The objective of organizing the assembly is to communicate and share professional experiences and opinions on cinema while it will discuss the general situation of film criticism in Asia. FIPRESCI aims to establish better and closer relations between film critics in Asia and create a tighter network for further collaborations.
