Update : 02 Jan 2018, 11:53 PM
Actor Shakib Khan has been ruling the Bangladeshi film industry for more than a decade until Arifin Shuvoo became his close contestant recently with his commercially successful films like “Dhaka Attack.” Apu Biswas continued to struggle for keeping her silver screen reign afloat and Tahsan rebooted his big screen voyage in 2018.

Shakib Khan

The king of Dhallywood has gifted the most commercially successful film of 2017 “Nobab” despite being banned by several film associations in Bangladesh. Among the fifty released films of 2017, Shakib starred in five - “Nobab,” “Shotta,” “Rajniti,” “Ohongkar” and “Rongbaj.” Shakib is scheduled to produce and act in new films like Rajib Biswas’s “Mask,” Rashed Raha’s “Nolok” and Uttam Akash’s “Ami Neta Hobo” in 2018. He will be seen in opposite of Bubly, Mim and Bobby. Film “Priotoma” will be produced by Shakib.

Arifin Shuvoo

2017 was the most successful year so far for “Dhaka Attack” hero Arifin Shuvoo. He made seven other films in the year including three opposite to Nusrat Faria – “Premi O Premi,” “Dhat Teri Ki,” and “Detective.” In 2018, two of his films are set to be released which are Alamgir’s “Ekti Cinemar Golpo” with Rituparna Sengupta and Zakir Hossain Raju’s “Bhalo Theko” with Tanha Tasnia.

Tahsan is mostly famous for his dramas which were successful in drawing attention of audience and millions of views on social media. He previously starred in “Abaro” with Mithila, “Mannequin Mumu” with Momo, “Amar Golpe Tumi” with Mithila, “Shunte Ki Pao” with Tisha and so on. This year he is scheduled to star in Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz’s fifth feature film “Jodi Ekdin.” Tahsan acted in a film called “To Be continued” opposite of Purnima which was shot five years back. The singer/actor later withdrew himself from the project due to deviation from the original script.
