Doob: No Bed of Roses premieres on iflix

Doob: No Bed of Roses, a film directed and written by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, premiered on iflix after two months of its cinematic release. The film premiered in theatres across Bangladesh and India in October 2017. The plot follows Javed Hasan who begins an affair with his daughter Saberi’s childhood friend Nitu which later leads his family to shock and devastation. Famous Bollywood and Hollywood actor Irrfan Khan played the role of Javed Hasan in the film. Nusrat Imroz Tisha played Saberi and Parno Mittra played Nitu in the film. The film also stars Rokeya Prachy as Maya. The film was jointly produced by Jaaz Multimedia, Eskay Movies and Irrfan Khan. Doob: No Bed of Roses has been screened at prestigious film festivals around the world including the Shanghai International Film Festival, 39th Moscow International Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival. Imrul Karim, iflix Bangladesh country manager, said: “The addition of Doob: No Bed of Roses is an incredible milestone for iflix and a testament to our commitment to localization as we showcase the best of Bangladeshi entertainment to our subscribers around the world.” According to the director of the film, the film can be seen on iflix at Tk900 for five devices.
