On the occasion of the national victory day of Bangladesh, Bangladeshi Rabindra sangeet artist Tanjina Toma is set to perform at Aurobindo Institute in Kolkata.
Aurobindo Institute regularly hosts its annual ‘Aspiration’ programme for one week in December in memory of the great saint Sri Aurobindo.
Since the last seven years, the institute has been dedicating their programme on December 16 for Bangladesh’s Victory Day. Several prominent singers from Bangladesh participated in the event earlier. A number of dance and drama troupes have also been performing regularly in this event.
In the recent years, Toma has found a special place among the Kolkata audience with her performance in TV channels and stages. Popular Indian record labels including, HMV (Sa Re Ga Ma), Hindusthan Records, Cozmic Harmony and UD series have published albums of the singer.
