The recent breakup between Selena Gomez and The Weeknd has made someone feel very hopeful once again. He is none other than Justin Bieber.
Multiple sources connected to The Weeknd and Selena said that their relationship has been fizzling out since this summer. They had rarely seen each other because of their clashing schedules, where he was busy touring, while she was busy with shooting.
Furthermore, they have started talking less frequently over the phone.
Sources say several weeks ago, Abel Tesfaye, The Weeknd’s real name, called Selena, explained how their relationship was no longer working for him and then ended things between each other.
Following Selena’s breakup, Bieber seems very happy.
An anonymous source close to Bieber on Tuesday claimed that the pop star is “happy Selena is single. He hopes to regain her trust so they can get back together.”
The source-slash-wingman added, “It seems their relationship now is very different. Justin is certainly a much better person. He would be a better boyfriend, too.”
On Sunday, Gomez and Bieber, who dated on-and-off between 2011 and 2015, were photographed attending church together and grabbing brunch afterwards in LA.
However, the break up was not only the news for Selena.
The 25-year-old artist and 2015’s “Chart-Topper” award winner has been nominated for four Billboard Music Awards and has had two albums in the lead at the Billboard 200, at number one. Furthermore, Selena Gomez was named Billboard’s 2017 Woman of the Year.
The award-winning triple threat has also been announced as the magazine's annual honouree for 2017, joining a prestigious league of famous women like Beyoncé, Pink, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga since its debut a decade ago.
