Ajay Devgn beats Aamir Khan

Box office war during the festival season has become a tradition in Bollywood now as filmmakers try their level best to release their respective films during this period. This Diwali, Bollywood saw the release of two much talked films, each led by bollywood A-listers as Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn. In this race to attain the box office lead, Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar has failed to outshine Ajay Devgn’s  Golmaal Again. Both films got released on Diwali and on the first running week, Ajay’s Golmaal Again grossed twice over Aamir’s critically acclaimed Secret Superstar. According to the numbers from bollywood box office stat website Koimoi.com, Secret Superstar starring Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim is expected to earn as much as between Rs 8 cr to Rs 10 crore on Friday whereas Golmaal Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and more, is set to log a mammoth earning of more than Rs 20 cr on its first day. Secret Superstar and Golmaal Again had an occupancy rate of 35-40% and 70% respectively. In the upcoming days, both films are set up for a serious competition. Though Golmaal Again is a sequel from the established Golmaal franchise directed by Rohit Shetty, it is still unclear how the brand will fare with the internationally acclaimed Secret Superstar, which received positive reviews from international media as the Independent. But as of now, Golmaal Again leads the competition with a gross total of nearly 33 crore while Secret Superstar acquired just 13.80 crore rupees in the first couple of days.
