IT beats Tom Cruise film American Made

Update : 06 Oct 2017, 09:16 PM
“It” has regained control of the North American box office in its fourth weekend in theatres. Studio estimates on last Sunday say the Stephen King adaptation took the top spot at the box office with $17.3 million. The horror movie beat out last weekend’s box office champ “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” and newcomer “American Made,” which essentially tied for second with $17 million apiece. Estimates have Tom Cruise film “American Made” taking a slight advantage, with around $16,000 more than the “Kingsman” sequel.American Made reunited Cruise with his “Edge of Tomorrow” director, Doug Liman. Based on a true story, the crime film focuses on Barry Seal, a former TWA pilot, who became a drug smuggler and then a DEA informant. Cruise has received rave reviews for his performance, but that wasn’t enough to help propel the movie to the top spot.
