The country’s leading mobile phone operators have begun their Ramadan business with offering different services, recharge bonus while mobile application developers are offering ‘Ramadan’ app just ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, which begins today.
All the four leading mobile phone operators Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi and Airtel are now trying to woo their customers by offering various special services through strong media campaign during the last couple of days.
With further media campaign, the other mobile operators are also planning to join the Ramadan-related trade race, informed the market sources.
Going through the content of the media campaign, it is found that Sehri and Iftar are the very common services for the operators and apps also, which could very be helpful for the absent minded users.
The market leader Grameenphone has also launched a group of Islamic welcome-tune including Ajan while Banglalink, the second largest operator interns of subscribers, has launched 10-minute free reciting from the holy Quran if anybody takes its bundle offers.
As Banglalink has launched an Islamic portal, the subscribers can enjoy the reciting from the holy Quran, Hadith and also other religious programmes in Bangla language.
Banglalink is also offering mobile TV for Islamic programs as like as Peace TV, which broadcasts live from Mecca and Medina.
Robi is offering traditional bonus offers while Airtel is also offering mobile TV programmes with Islamic programs.
According to mobile phone operators, just after launching the Ramadan-related services, they are also preparing for the upcoming Eid festival.
Ahead of Eid, some handset brands are also planing to launch few programmes withing a week or two, informed the sources.
Meanwhile, application developer company Multimedia Content & Communications Ltd. installed an application yesterday containing full of Ramadan-related Islamic activities.
The application includes a full calendar for the month of Ramadan, with the facility to set alarms for Sehri and Iftar timing.
There is an in-built compass to help find the correct Kebla direction.
The rules for praying Tarabi namaj are also included.
Apart from that, an e-Tasbih has already been introduced to use during namaj or at any other time.
Application has made the Quran available and one can listen the reciting of the famous Kuwaiti Qari Sheikh Mishary Bin Rashid Alafasy, informed the MCC.
The app also provide Quran recitations with both Bangla and English translations, the Hadith and Hamd Naat and much more.
