Facebook and Messenger users reported widespread service disruptions on Tuesday evening, with many unable to access key features on the platforms.
According to user reports submitted to Downdetector, the problems began around 6pm and continued until at least 7:30pm.
Users said they faced difficulties sending messages, refreshing Facebook feeds and loading content on both platforms.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Messenger, had not immediately commented on the cause of the disruption or provided any timeline for restoring normal services.
