Facebook users have been facing spam problems once again due to a notification from a Facebook community page.
The spam notification pretends to come from a Facebook community page titled 'Mark Zuckeinberg' (earlier the page title read 'FbCeo Mark Zuckeinberg').
A notification shows users of a tagged comment to a Facebook Note containing a fake announcement about a Facebook account recovery .
The spam tries to sound urgent to convince users to verify their accounts. To do so, they are first asked to go to a Pastebin URL and are instructed to copy a specific code.
Users are then directed to a shortened link and are asked to press some particular function keys (CTRL+SHIFT+K for Google Chrome users, for example). After clicking on the console tab, users are supposed to paste the provided code into the address bar, then press Enter.
While a Facebook user clicks on the shortened link, his/her friends automatically get tagged in the spam post.
However, Facebook authority has not commented over the issue yet.
Meanwhile, this is not the verified facebook account of its CEO Mark Zuckerberg. His verified account is still showing a status published on March 28 as news feed.
