Urging the nation not to pollute the country's environment, Environment and Forest Minister Anwar Hossain Manju also called the countrymen to start the practice from their own houses.
He said: "The practice of making clean the environment, should be start from your house and you have to ensure that you are not polluting the environment."
The minister was addressing a workshop titled "Climate Financing: Perspective Bangladesh" as chief guest at DRU auditorium in the capital on Tuesday.
He said: “Climate change is not only an alarming issue in the country, but also a global phenomenon. But, we know our strength and we should try to tackle the adverse impacts of climate change.”
M Didarul Alam; additional secretary and managing director of the BCCT, has read out the keynote paper while DRU President Shaheed Chowdhury chaired the programme.
