More than 50 high-profile personalities from around the world who are committed to combating climate change are expected at the COP21 site today for the Action Day.
The event will be held from 9:30am to 5:30pm (CEST) at the COP21 venue’s heart of the negotiating zone.
It is the first and foremost response to the efforts decided in Lima, which encouraged the United Nations and the COP president to convene a high-level meeting on climate action – the Action Day.
The day is the culmination of more than a year of international mobilisation of non-state actors like businesses, local governments, international organisations, and research centres.
