In pictures: Covid vaccine trial for children starts

The health authorities in Bangladesh started a trial run of Covid-19 vaccination for children aged 5-11 on Thursday with the inoculation of 16 students of Abul Bashar Government Primary School in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of Dhaka. Health Minister Zahid Maleque inaugurated the program from Bangabandhu International Conference Center at 12:30pm. The children received a specially formulated Pfizer vaccine. The health directorate said it would extend the program across the country from August 25 if everything went according to plan.
