Another 291 started at 5pm in 16 buses along with ambulances, covered vans and police protection, he added. According to Huq, the displaced Myanmar nationals will remain in Chittagong under Navy supervision on Wednesday night. They will be taken to Bhashan Char on navy ships on Thursday. Last December, as many as 20,000 Rohingyas were relocated to the island from the refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf and Ukhiya. According to Additional Refugee, Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRC) Mohammad Shamsud-Douja, so far 18, 957 Rohingyas have been relocated.
