Update : 20 Mar 2014, 07:08 PM

British Council and Daffodil Education Network (DEN) would organise a nationwide book reading competition in June, said a media statement yesterday.

The participants of the competition will read a book given by British Council and attend an assessment test.

The competition is designed to promote the reading habit among children and adults.

The participants will be divided into four parts where students of VI to VIII will be in group A, students of IX to X will be in group B, students of XI to XII will be in C while the adults will be in group D.

The registration for the competition will start from April 1. Details information will be available in www.readingbd.org.

The registration will be closed on May 31 and the assessment test will be held on June 13.

The name of the winner will appear in the British Council website in June and prizes will be distributed through a ceremony.

The first winner from each group will get a laptop and other winners will get attractive prizes. Registration can be done in British Council and DEN offices
