Don’t miss these at Hay today

Update : 14 Nov 2013, 03:15 AM

10 -11am on the main stage Khademul Islam discusses a “Life in Letters” with Tariq Ali

11:15-12:15pm “Have You Really Read Kafka” marks the launch of the Dhaka Translation Centre, with Chris Heiser joined by Kaiser Haq, David Shook and Eliot Weinberger again on the main stage

1:15-2pm “Poetry Prescription” is a chance for you to find just the right rhymes and poetry to suit your needs, so if you are in love or depressed you may want to meet William Sieghart, creator of the Forward Poetry Prize.

2-3pm Between “The Mystic Soul” on the main stage and “The New South Asia” on the small stage, two sessions that will be equally fascinating that we can’t decide which one to recommend. If we could we would attend both.

4:30-5:30pm “Egypt and Beyond” on the main stage with Ahdaf Soueif and William Sieghart will be moderated by our very own Zafar Sobhan, not one to be missed, and we assure you that you will not regret it.

Our final recommendation from today’s programme is “Partitions” from 6-7pm at the imagination tent launching the three country project’s book “This Side That Side” – a graphic narrative of the Partition, with Vishwajyoti Ghosh and Syeda Farhana, Khademul Islam and Kaiser Haq.
