Some people say that having a pet is like training for parenthood/relationships. I didn't really think
much about that, until I suddenly ended up as custodian of a little kitten. Almost overnight, life as I
knew it had changed.
Expectations vs RealityWhen you start out with a tiny pet, you tell yourself that you'll teach it all kinds of tricks, train it to
sleep on time, eat on time, do its business on time.
What actually happens is the kitten starts training you. The cat meows, and you know it's time to
warm up some milk, or put out a sandbox.
You know nothing, hoomin!I'll be the first to admit that I don't know everything about taking care of a pet. But I thought a little
common sense was all I really needed. Boy, was I wrong.
No sooner do people spot me with the cat, then advice comes pouring in from all corners. People
I don't even know offer their "expert" opinion.
Love me. Love MEIt's always nice to walk into a room and see people light up at the sight of me.
The attention only lasts as long as it takes to make sure the cat is with me. And then I'm forgotten,
and it's all about the kitty
A whole new worldInstagramming has become a project by itself. Cat videos, hashtags and filters, I'm discovering
new communities every day!
At the end of the day, no matter how many times the stupid furball has scratched and bitten me,
feeling soft furry paws on my shoulder, and makes it worth it!
